Practising Certificate for Wellbeing in Education

The Appli Practising Certificate for Wellbeing in Education is a blended learning program comprising of high impact face-to-face sessions supported by engaging online learning. Each specialised skillset will enable participants to apply the latest research and best practices to improve wellbeing within their specific educational setting. Completing the Practising Certificate of Wellbeing in Education may contribute elective teacher PD addressing 4.4.2, 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW. Strong Central West Conference

APPLI and Scots All Saints College will host Strong Central West - a conference to collaborate, learn, celebrate and promote the wellbeing and resilience of the Central West. The conference will feature interactive learning from world-renowned leaders in Wellbeing, Resilience, Positive Psychology and Mental Fitness partnered with the local Central West community. Together, Central West organisations and wellbeing experts will share their knowledge on how to improve and sustain wellbeing for all people living, working and teaching in the region.

Held online over two days, Workplace Wellness Festival features six conference tracks that allow attendees to take in the big-picture issues in the Plenary Stage or dive-in to key topics of interest in concurrent conference sessions. And we’ve kept all the elements of the physical experience that you love – keynotes, presentations, panels, Q&A, roundtables, live face to face networking and a virtual exhibition floor.
Leading Wellbeing: A Student Perspective
When: Friday 11 June 2021, 9am-2.30pm
Where: Academy of Global Competency, Knox Senior School
Cost: Free (includes recess and lunch)
Transport: Please travel by public transport (the venue is a short walk from Wahroonga and Warrawee Stations)
Who: Students in Years 10-12 (capacity is limited)
Leading Wellbeing: A Student Perspective will offer emerging student leaders, with an interest and passion for promoting wellbeing in their community, the opportunity to discover and experience positive wellbeing strategies. The keynote session will be provided by Eddie Jaku, author of the Happiest Man on Earth, who speaks of how he found gratitude, kindness and hope in the darkest of places. Participants will be asked to register to attend two of the following workshops (each workshop will run twice) - students will be emailed a workshop registration form prior to the event.
