Regional Tourism

In recent years, Bathurst and the Central West Region have become a well-known destination for fantastic food, wine and entertainment. Delegates are invited to extend their stay and spend some time discovering the great sights and tourist attractions in the region. The Central West is home to more than 50 local vineyards and cellar doors. For sports enthusiasts, delegates may take a drive around the Mount Panorama Circuit, best known for the Bathurst 1000 motor race held each October, and the Bathurst 12 Hour event held each February. Those that enjoy spending some time outdoors may be interested in visiting the Abercrombie Caves to discover beautiful waterfalls, bushwalking and hiking trails. The Boundary Reserve is just a 5-minute drive from the Bathurst CBD, a premier location to spot kangaroos, birds and native Australian wildlife.

These are just a few of the many things to see and do in the region. Please visit the Bathurst Tourism website and the Central West Tourism website to learn more.
